Bishop Auckland Exhibition shows art Through Soldiers’ Eyes
War and art have always been inextricably linked and an exhibition in Bishop Auckland Town Hall, County Durham, has been opened to shine a light on art creations by military veterans.
Many of the artists (from painters to poets, and mainly from the North of England) use their artistic abilities to distract from the psychological trauma many ex-military personnel face upon leaving the service.
DF: “I have personally seen some of the work by one of the exhibitors, Mick Graham from Chester-le-Street and his paintings are absolutely stunning.”
Through Soldiers’ Eyes is open at Bishop Auckland Town Hall until the 20th November, take time out to pay a visit, you won’t be disappointed.
