Art helps ‘rebound after Covid’
A YEAR-long project that has seen five artists develop their skills to produce striking portraits, stained glass still-lifes and Alberto Giacometti-inspired sculptures is culminating in an exhibition that opens today (Friday).
Mencap, a charity for those with learning disabilities, has worked with the artists to develop their skills and personal artistic practice, the end product of which will be displayed in the Islington Arts Factory in Parkhurst Road throughout December.
Mencap is a service focused on reducing social isolation among people with learning disabilities across Islington.
