Aberdeen Art Gallery opens exhibition showcasing nearly 300 works by local and national artists
Almost 300 hundred works by 178 different artists are being shown at the Aberdeen Art Gallery after a new exhibition opened this weekend.
The works are part of the Aberdeen Art Societies 2022 exhibition, which is being presented at the Art Gallery’s new BP special exhibition area from April 16 to July 3.
The exhibition was opened by Arthur Watson, Past President of the Royal Scottish Academy and one of the founders of Aberdeen’s Peacock Visual Arts.
The pieces on display, which include drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, prints, photography, jewellery and video, have been selected from around 500 works submitted by artists from across the UK.
